We still make our own ice cream here at Shaw's Ridge Farm with the same recipes we've been using for years. We use the freshest and best quality ingredients around, which are just some of the many reasons why we have customers coming back time and time again.
In season, our ice cream flavors consist of fresh Native Maine fruit such as strawberries and raspberries. Recently, we started making two new and very popular flavors which are Fresh Lemon and Fresh Orange Ice Creams.
Our wonderful staff here at Shaw's Ridge does all of the prep work to get these flavors ready to be made. We pick our own strawberries and raspberries from nearby farms, wash them, take tops off of strawberries, and make sure they are perfect for use. When prepping for Lemon and Orange Ice Cream, we take the rinds off of the lemons and oranges and freshly squeeze the natural juices from them.
One of the flavors that we are widely known for is our Grammy Shaw's Original Coffee, which we use the same recipe that Grammy Shaw herself came up with years and years ago. If you come in and smell coffee, we are making our home-brewed coffee extract to make our coffee ice cream with. Come on in and taste it for yourself!
